Port monitoring allows you to check whether services running on specific ports are reachable and responding correctly. FunnyMonitors can attempt connections over both TCP and UDP across the full port range from 1 to 65535. For TCP services, we establish a connection and send a small amount of data to confirm the service responds as expected. UDP monitoring is also supported, although we are continuing to improve how responses are validated. Currently, any successful connection or response is treated as a valid check. In the future, we plan to allow you to define which responses should be considered a success or failure, giving you greater control over how your services are monitored. For updates on these improvements, please see our announcements page.
Port monitoring allows you to ensure that critical services running on your infrastructure remain accessible and responsive. With FunnyMonitors, you can monitor any port across the full range from 1 to 65535 using either TCP or UDP, giving you complete flexibility when checking applications, databases, email servers or custom services. By attempting connections to the configured port, our monitoring system verifies that the service is reachable and responding, helping you detect outages or service failures quickly and reliably.
