We offer a full suite of configuration options for website and API monitoring. With check intervals as low as 30 or 60 seconds depending on your plan, you can monitor endpoints using any HTTP method and send custom request bodies, including JSON or other formats, giving you complete flexibility when validating your services.
Categories help you organise your monitors and present them clearly on your status pages. By grouping monitors into categories, you can display related services together, making it easier for customers to understand the status of specific systems or components. Categories are also useful within the dashboard, allowing you to filter, manage and modify monitors by group so you can focus on a specific set of services at a time. Linking a category to a monitor is simple and can be updated with a single click directly from your dashboard.
While you can configure monitoring intervals anywhere from 30 seconds to 24 hours, we strongly recommend setting checks to at least one minute. It may cost us more in resources, but we believe it’s far better for you to know about an outage the moment it happens rather than waiting five minutes while customers begin submitting support requests. Faster checks mean faster visibility when something goes wrong.
For users with 30-second monitoring intervals, you’ll know almost immediately if your service goes down. Our system also verifies downtime at the moment it’s detected, so you don’t have to wait for multiple servers to confirm the issue — avoiding delays and ensuring you receive alerts as quickly as possible.
You’re in full control of how your monitors behave and how they check your website or API. You can configure custom headers, follow redirects, choose the HTTP method, send or expect JSON payloads, and define which response codes are considered successful. You can also enable checks for SSL expiry, SSL errors and domain expiry, as well as configure authentication settings where required. This flexibility means you decide exactly what your monitor validates and how the results are handled, giving you complete control over how your services are monitored.
